It’s Spring! Finally! That means you can leave your parka and winter skin care behind!
Kim Andrews, Cosmetics Manager at Shoppers Drug Mart at Big Bay Point in Barrie (and a personal friend a expert who’s saved our butts a few times in a beauty crisis), was on our Facebook LIVE show this week to show off the products we should be cycling in when the snow begins to melt.
Starting with the skin care, she encourages everyone to try out the GlamGlow glowstarter tinted moisturizer which will give you a glow without having to wear make up. For tired moms, this is perfect!
Eye cream is a must for any woman, and Kim swears by Origins Ginzing Eye cream.
Masks are pretty important to wake up dull skin, get rid of black heads and add a ton of intense moisture. She applied the Strivectin Blue Rescue to Apryl’s face, which is full of great moisturizing agents and soothes the skin. She also applied the GlamGlow Super Mud to get rid of blackheads. Pro tip: You can use it as a spot treatment!
Kim also mentioned her secret weapon when it comes to acne: Uriage S.O.S. Paste, which can get rid of pimples in a day!!
When it comes to cleansers, Clarins “My Clarins” has an animal cruelty free and all vegan line, made in recyclable glass bottles too! The Micellar Cleansing Milk can be used as a make up remover and cleanser, plus the comforting hydrating cream and mist toner. All so good for you and the environment.
Moving to make up, she surprised us by saying foundation and concealer is best when applied with your fingers. It blends well when it’s warmed slightly with your hands.
Lips are all about the pinks this spring. She put the Clinique Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa on Sarah’s lips. This is so great because it conditions the lip as well as adds a nice glossy colour.
Also, Gloss is THE thing to wear this Spring.
Finally, the show stopper is the St. Tropez self tanner. You spray it on and in 10 minutes you have a glow that lasts 10 days! If you love spray tans like this, you need this product!!
There are a few things to add to our make up bag, and we can’t wait!
