Here’s our ultimate list of gifts kids will love that don’t clutter your home!
Can you believe we are ten days from the Holidays? For many of us, there are still some people left on that list to buy for.
Everyone asks us what to get our kids for Christmas, and as they get older, we find their interest in toys isn’t as strong as it once was.
Our recommendation to family members is to give the gift of experiences. To help, we put together this list of experiential gifts that will blow the mind of any kid, plus, a lot of these are great for anyone who is looking for a last minute gift.
These can range in price from very expensive if you want to send the child to see a massive star of today, or it could be around $45 if you choose to send them to a smaller act at a different venue like Budweiser Stage. Kids love the energy a live show brings.
You get to spend the day with them having fun, bonding and enjoying the memories that will last longer than the action set Santa brought.
Do they love hockey? Take them to a game! If price is a concern, try a local OHL hockey game. They will love it. Or, spend the day with the Raptors! The options are endless.
One of the best gifts ever given to our families was Canada’s Wonderland seasons passes. It truly is the gift that keeps giving.
There are so many places that offer seasons passes like museums, play centres, theatres and more and often they’re under $100 for the year.
Does your kid love Disney? Why not get them Disney Plus for the year? Or Spotify Premium? There are many subscriptions that kids will love.
From music lessons to ski lessons. This takes a financial load off the parents but also helps the child develop their skills. This is a big one in Sarah’s family and it truly is a gift that gives back week after week.
The Cineplex gift cards are life! Kids love a day at the movies and these gift cards can be inexpensive, but give them a day of memories….and a belly full of popcorn.
Rock climbing, trampoline parks, or any indoor play area would be an amazing gift for a child, and a Godsend for the parents looking to entertain them during the winter months.
If they love being outside, get them lift tickets to the local ski hill or passes for skating rinks.
Sarah does this with her girls a lot. It’s a day when the kids get to choose the activities of the day and you get to say yes to everything. From a day at the mall, rot a day in downtown Toronto, you can have a lot fun, and the kids will have the memories of this amazing day.
If you have a young chef in your home, why not get them into a cooking class. These are offered at the local grocery stores and even through the community centres.
Take your kids for mani/pedis and they will love that feeling of being pampered, plus the time they get to spend with you. Or, send them to Glama Gals!
We love gifting these types of things as they make memories that will last a lifetime.
