This week’s Keys to City is pretty groovy. We check out the Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival that kicked off this weekend. Various artists will play in locations around downtown Barrie and surrounding areas until June 19, then the grande finale takes place on a stage at Heritage Park.

In it’s 22nd year, the Festival has attracted local and out of town acts to entertain. Artists like Andy Earl evoke a feeling while he plays the blues to the crowd at Canvas and Cabernet. Or Beverly Taft and Will Davis who play jazz songs from the 20’s through to the 40’s to a dining audience at Tara Indian Cuisine. The festival gives people a taste of the music of yesteryear.
