Indoor Play:

Hate the cold, but your kids need to burn some energy? We have you covered! Visit local indoor play places like Kings and Castles, Treetops Playground.

If your kids are a little older, XPlay is a must visit! The trampoline park will tire them out, plus you need to check out the huge lazer tag area.

Minotaur Sports offers drop in Nerf battles. Just bring your own blaster and let them have some fun. Best part is, the nerf darts don’t end up all over your house!

Other mentions:

  • Bowling
  • Retro Planet
  • Indoor rock climbing
  • swimming at the rec centres

For the younger ones:

Meet your favourite characters at the Georgian Mall March Break Madness. Your kids will go bananas meeting their heroes in real life. Paw Patrol, Shimmer and Shine, the Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer will all be making appearances.

Outdoor Adventures:

Simcoe County is known to be the snow capital of Ontario, so you know there’s gotta be some good winter activities to enjoy. Try some of these ideas to give your kids a dose of fresh air.

Snow tubing/Skiing – we are surrounded by ski resorts, so just pick a date and time and head to the hills.

Skating: Indoor or outdoor, many rinks are ready for you to strap on the skates and take a spin. Check out the City of Barrie’s website for outdoor rink conditions.

Sleigh Ride – For those who love animals, this is perfect for you. Sit back and relax as these gentle giant horses pull you on a sleigh through rolling acres. Check out Rainbow View Farms for times and pricing.

Cross Country skiing at Hardwood Ski and Bike

Crafty Kids:

Creative Cafe is perfect for those kids who love creating. Plus, they get to keep their crafts!
Hopefully these ideas will keep you and your littles busy this March Break, and not bouncing off the walls like ours!
