The Holidays can be hard for people like me. With anxiety, exhaustion and more. But this year, I’m getting ahead of it. Here’s how:
Every year around the holidays I get a little strange. I’m always full-on for the entire month, having fun, doing all the parties, all the fun.
It’s also the busiest time for us in business.
So, picture it: all the holiday busy, all the work busy, all the family busy, and all the while I’m trying to stay on top of my health journey. All of this is done with all my energy.
Then after Christmas I crash. Hard.
love everything about being a new mom. From the baby snuggles to breastfeeding to all the cute clothes. There’s so much newness and joy to embrace. And even with all that love and happiness, I still struggle.
I have a family history of anxiety and depression, and though I don’t often talk about it, I thought it was important to share my experience with postpartum anxiety since today is World Mental Health Day.
How I’m fighting to stay on the wagon and finally reach my fitness and health goals
For as long as I can remember, I have been up and down with weight. I’ve been on an off the wagon with proper diet and fitness for decades. I’d say I’m a frequent rider.
Lately I’ve pushed to stay on the wagon for the long ride and finally…..finally get to my destination.
How to treat the typical mom posture easily, which will help ease the neck, shoulder and back pain we all experience.
How I'm Giving Myself a Break to Find More Happiness in My Life. Last year I wrote about my fast food addiction. I was bracing myself for the judgement, but instead I received dozens of DMs and comments from some of you. All with the same message: Me Too. I harboured...
I tend to give up easily. I am really good, watching what I eat, working out and then something happens and I give up. Or worse, I lose weight and the first thing I do is binge. Basically reversing my hard work. Not anymore!! Here’s how I’m recommitting to workouts and using weight watchers to get back on track.
It seems a bit taboo to complain or talk about weight gain during pregnancy since it is something that is supposed to happen. BUT it’s also incredibly hard to suddenly switch your mindset from focusing on weight loss and fitness to accepting weight gain. When I typically gain weight I feel uncomfortable in my skin, in my clothes and don’t like how I look. The same is true for the majority of the time I’m pregnant. It feels like your body is lost, unfamiliar and not your own.
We’ve been battling pretty bad headaches, and we’re so happy to have found a natural way to treat them!
How I’m struggling to get my kids to eat healthy, boost their self confidence and deal with some self image issues.
With two daughters I knew body image, weight and health would be something we would have to navigate as they got older. It’s something I expected to deal with when they were in their teen years but unfortunately it’s become a part of our conversations much sooner.
It’s no secret that I’ve got my own body image issues and struggles with weight, as I’ve blogged about before, but now with my kids, I’m facing it in an entirely new way.
